As we approach the end of 2024, I look back on what I have accomplished this year and start thinking about my goals for next year. After taking a break from Color Street, I restarted my business and have been working on earning a trip to the Dominican Republic next year. I have done well, and am over half way to earning it, with three months left to qualify.
But Color Street is more than that to me. I love having pretty nails, and I get a lot of pleasure out of sharing the tips and products I use with others. My Aunt Peggy has been my inspiration since I restarted my business earlier this year. As she began to age and lose her ability to walk and take care of herself her looks also declined. The one thing that she was able to keep pretty was her nails. I would visit her in the nursing home where she lived the last year of her life and I would do her nails every two weeks. She loved having them done and always picked colors that she thought she would get the most compliments on. It made her feel pretty and boosted her self esteem when she needed it most.
I want to do that for everyone I meet. I feel pretty when my nails are done, and I want to share that with others. Next year I want to be more intentional about sharing trends and tips for everything that helps a woman feel more beautiful. I used to keep up on all the makeup and beauty trends before becoming a single mom. When that happened, I became overwhelmed and began to simplify my life.
I am now an empty nester, and age is beginning to take its toll on my face and body. I now have the time to learn about makeup, nail, and hair trends, and the need to learn more about skin care. So, get ready for some diversity in my content, and more focus on all things beauty and health, along with keeping up with the latest nail trends.
2025 is going to be a year of transformation for me.
