It's Holiday Season! Want some tips for self care and gift giving?
The holidays can be exciting and fun, but also can be a time for stress and anxiety, with pressure to get gifts for everyone, please all of the extended family by trying to make an appearance at every event, and even deal with tensions between family members.
Plan Your Schedule
Put all of your holiday events on your calendar. That way you can see at a glance what times and dates you have available. Schedule in some time for self-care, too. Block out time for relaxation and reflection as the year comes to an end and you want to make changes for next year. Set aside time to get those holiday mani's done before your special events.
Pray for Your Family
Tensions can be high during the holidays, as well as depression. So take some time to pray for yourself and your family to help navigate the stressful days ahead.
Make a Gift List
Make a list of all the people you need to buy gifts for, then set your budget for gift giving. Don't go into debt using credit cards. You will regret it in January when the bills come in. Find out how much you can spend on your gifts, then budget an approximate amount for each person that will allow you to stay within your financial means.

Most importantly, focus on what you are thankful for. When you feel overwhelmed, or things don't seem to going the way you planned; stop. Take a deep breath, and write down or think about things you are thankful for. Think about things you may be taking for granted, and remember how those things felt they first came into your life.
