I have a normal 8-5 day job that pays the bills, and my boss and co-workers are wonderful! I do enjoy my job. But it is not the most fun and exciting job. I am an office manager in the construction industry. I wanted to do something fun on the side and make a little extra money. So, I began looking at direct selling companies. I checked out several of them, then decided to ask my Color Street stylist what she thought about the company. The commission looked pretty good, but I wanted to hear from someone who had actually worked with the company. She said that she was enjoying it and liked the company. I was already using Color Street nail strips, and I loved them, so I decided to give it a shot.
I have worked in direct sales in the past, and did not expect it to change my life the way it did. I have always loved having my nails done, and shared this love with my Aunt Peggy. I used to paint her nails when I was a young adult, and she would inevitably mess one up before they dried. When I started doing her nails with Color Street, I never had to worry about that because they were already dry when I applied them. She loved it when I did her nails with the nail strips. When she got older, and couldn't do her nails herself, I began doing them for her every two weeks. She lost the use of her left hand and had to go into a nursing home for full time care the last year of her life. She started off with solid, neutral colors, because she thought she was too old for glitter or designs. But I assured her that she was not too old for the fun stuff. So she began to get bolder in her choices, and ended up picking brighter and more colorful designs each week. She looked forward to having her nails done. That was the one thing that still made her feel pretty in her declining health, and I am so thankful that I was able to do that for her.
We lost her last summer, and I almost gave up my business. I took some time off to grieve this great loss. I remembered how good it made her feel to have pretty fingernails. I feel good when mine are painted nicely, too. I want that feeling for every woman I come in contact with. So, I will continue this business for two reasons; to help every woman feel beautiful, and to honor the memory of Aunt Peggy and our time together.
So, whether it is cosmetics, nail polish, nail care for natural nails, or time with friends and family, I am here to help you feel connected and beautiful!
